Linate Airport Buses

At Linate Airport, the bus and coach stops are just outside of the arrivals hall. There is one metropolitan transport bus to the city centre and several coach and shuttle services to other parts of the city and destinations beyond.

Metropolitan Bus

ATM (Azienda Trasporti Milanese) is the Milanese Transport Company which operates the city’s metro underground, buses, trams, urban trains and the funicular railway. ATM points around the city are transport stops and not to be confused with bank cashpoints. Tickets can be purchased on board the bus, at authorised retailers or from the ticket machines at metro stations.

  • Urban Line 73 – Linate to City Centre

    This is the cheapest route into the city centre at only €1.50 for a single ticket. It is a direct route but there are seventeen stops on the way making it slower than some alternatives. The service terminates at Milan Duomo (the cathedral). The bus runs every day from 05:35 to 00:35 and departs approximately every ten minutes.

Coach Services

Several companies offer coach services to the city centre and destinations including Malpensa airport, Monza and Brescia.

  • Air Bus – Linate Airport to Milan Central Station

    Air Bus is a premium service operated by ATM, which links Milan Linate Airport with Milan Central Station. There is one stop on route at Piazzale Dateo at which you can change to the metro. From Central Station, there are train services to major cities in Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany.

    The Air Bus service runs from the airport every thirty minutes from 06:30 to 23:30. From Central Station to the airport from 06:00 to 23:00. The journey time is approximately twenty-five minutes.

    A single ticket is €5.00 and a return ticket is €9.00. Children of twelve and under travel half price. Tickets can be bought on board or in advance from agents or vending machines. The bus is accessible for passengers with reduced mobility.

  • Autostradale – Linate Airport to Milan Central Station

    Star Fly operates a service between Linate and Milan Central Station via Milan Lambrate Station every thirty minutes from 07:45 to 22.45. Tickets cost €5.00 one-way or €9.00 return. At Lambrate station, you can connect with trains to Verona, Bergamo, Brescia and Albairate. The full timetable can be downloaded here (pdf file).

  • Malpensa Shuttle – Linate Airport to Malpensa Airport

    The Malpensa Shuttle connects Linate and Malpensa airports with five services each way per day. Single tickets cost €13.00 and a return ticket is €26.00, which can be bought on the bus or online at malpensashuttle.it

    The shuttle departs Linate at 09:30, 11:15, 13:40, 15:30 and 16:30 and terminates at Malpensa Terminal 1. It stops at Malpensa Terminal 2 on request.

    Departures from Malpensa Terminal 1 are at 09:30, 11:15, 13:30, 15:15 and 18:20. The journey times vary depending on traffic. The full timetable can be downloaded here.

  • Malpensa Shuttle – Linate Airport to Monza

    The Malpensa Shuttle also offers six services per day to Monza and five from Monza to Linate via Borsellino and Falcone. Tickets cost €8.00 for a single and €15.00 return.

    Services depart from Linate at 07:40, 09:10, 18:30, 19:40 and 20:40, and from Monza to Linate at 07:00, 08:20, 18:00, 19:10 and 20:10. Click here for the full timetable.

  • Airshuttle Nord – Linate Airport to Brescia

    Airshuttle Nord connects Linate to Brescia via Orio al Serio International Airport, also known as Milan Bergamo Airport. There are four services each way per day from Monday to Saturday. Seats need to be reserved at least forty-eight hours in advance.

Milan Fair

During the Milan Fair, Malpensa Shuttle provides a regular service between Linate Airport and the exhibition centre at Rho/Pero. The timetable is here.
